After scoring student achievement portfolios, student essays an an in-person interview with community members, three students were recognized as the 2022-2023 Vermilion Parish students of the year this past week.
In the 5th grade competition, Rene Rost Middle School student Sydnee Mouton was selected based on the scoring criteria. The 8th Grade award was given to Lexi Greene of Forked Island-E. Broussard and the senior high award was given to North Vermilion's Braydin Clostio.
We are extremely proud of all of our finalist and or honored to select these three as the best of the best. We wish them well in the regional competition in January.
