Students in Mrs. Samantha's class listened to the story "How to Catch a Turkey." Afterwards, they got to build their own turkey cages as a fun Thanksgiving project. 🦃
Mrs. Crystal's first graders made bracelets to help them remember the story about the pilgrims and their voyage to America. They learned how Native Americans showed them how to hunt and plant corn. Then they enjoyed a Thanksgiving snack mix as a class family.

The CPE Beta Club Officers lead the induction/recognition ceremony last night! ❤️🤍💙 Congratulations to all the new inductees and carryover members! We are so very proud of you! 🖤💛💚
Ms. Dana’s PreK class enjoyed a lesson with Ms. Kelbi Mills, Nutrition Educator 1 for Vermilion Parish, on healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. They read a book on growing vegetables for healthy meals. They also talked about the rainbow of fruit colors. Students were able to assemble their own fruit kabobs and then enjoy them!!
Congratulations to Vermilion Parish Schools for their performance and their School Performance Score Ratings. Vermilion was #9 in the State and #1 in the Acadiana Area. Thank you to all students, teachers, administrators and support staffs for this outstanding accomplishment. Thank you also to all of our stakeholders for your support of our system.

CPE had the honor of coordinating a reunion that was 11 months in the making! One of our students was reunited with his Dad, Staff Sergeant Daniel Kincaid from the US Army. The heart warming event was so special to witness!
CPE celebrated Veteran’s Day today with a school wide parade. It was a showcase of over 150 veterans near and dear to our hearts. We also had an outside Walk of Fame picture gallery and a reception with a slideshow of all our veterans. Over 100 veterans and 100 students came together to celebrate today!🇺🇸

For Halloween, Mrs. Jennifer’s classes got to read by flashlight and “candlelight” during our Lights Out AR time today !
Ms. Chelsea’s 5th grade scientists explored real life germs,🦠 while learning about properties of molecules at the nanoscale.🔬Every student swabbed their chrome book with a qtip and then swabbed the germs onto a Petri dish 🧫 to grow in a warm/dark environment. Here are the results….
