Eaton Park Elementary is excited to welcome Mrs. Shannon Primeaux as our 2025-2026 Assistant Principal! She comes to us with 17 years of teaching experience in PreK, Kindergarten and First Grade.
She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Throughout her journey in education, she has experience having been the student leadership team sponsor for the past 5 years, a mentor teacher, a PBIS committee member, as well as other roles within Vermilion Parish. She is passionate about empowering students to find their voice to become leaders. She is committed to the growth of all of our students in their academic journey and supporting the vision of Eaton Park Elementary.
Mrs. Primeaux shared, “I am originally from Metairie, Louisiana but I currently live in Abbeville with my husband, Jonathan, and our 3 children, Ciara, Isaac, and Amelia. Today our Little Wildcats learned about RESPECT and KINDNESS during their APEX lesson!!
🌟 Respect: The Foundation of Leadership! 🌟
Future Leaders understand that to make the world a better place, we must show respect! 💫 This means treating people in ways that demonstrate we care, through our words and actions. We show respect the first time, every time! We especially show respect to those around us who possess more knowledge and experience, such as our parents and teachers. Let's lead by example and foster a culture of respect in everything we do! 💖 #FutureLeaders #Respect #LeadershipValues 🚀
🌟 Kindness in Action! 🌟
Future leaders practice kindness because it shows we're thinking about others! 💖 It means we're friendly and gracious, always asking ourselves, "How do others feel? What can I do for them?" 🤔 Kindness is all about action! We can show kindness at school, at home, and in the world around us! 🏫🏠 Let's do kind things for those around us without expecting anything in return! 🌍 #KindnessMatters #FutureLeaders #SpreadLove 🌟

Last week, students experimented with Block Programming in the Library! 💻
