Congrats to our 2022 FIEB Cross Country teams!! The girls are Parish Champs and our boys are Parish Runner Ups! Our girls team had 3 girls in the top 10 and our boys team had one. Everyone did a great job this season!! FIEB would like to give a BIG shout out to our hard working coaches: Marietta Choate & Torri Steen!! Without you none of this would have been possible!!!

FIEB Elementary welcomed guest speaker, TFC Thomas Gossen to speak to grades 4-8 about the dangers students face every day when they choose to use social media. Some of these dangers included cyberbullying, invasion of privacy, exposure to offensive images and messages, and online predators. Our students are more connected than ever through social media. Access to social media can have both positive and negative effects on our children. It is very important that educators, parents, and students become aware of the dangers that they are faced with each day. His presentation, "Internet Safety and Laws Regarding Social Media" was informative and made a huge impact on students and staff. FIEB would like to thank TFC Thomas Gossen for taking time from his busy schedule to visit our school and teach our students.

Monday is the official state mandated parent/teacher conference day for Vermilion Parish schools. Students do not have school.
Specific details on the schedule of your child's school should have been given out by the individual school.

FIEB classes are participating in the million word challenge this year. Every week classes who have read the most words in their division are put into a drawing. At the end of the first 9 weeks the winner of the drawing was Ms. Bailey Roy's Third Grade Class. They were rewarded with a donut party. Congratulations to all classes who participated. Continue to read for the next 9 weeks' word challenge.

These 5th graders were rewarded for having either zero or one missed homework! Good job students!!! Practice makes Perfect!!!
