The Vermilion Parish School System will be providing meals during the summer months while school is out.
All information, including school sites and times, will be posted online at
https://www.vpsb.net/o/vpsd/page/summer-meals
as it is approved by the Louisiana Department of Education.
The Vermilion Parish School System will be distributing meal boxes this summer. Each meal box has 7 breakfast and 7 lunches. Any child ages 18 and under can register to get a meal box.

Registration for the 6/3/24 meal box pickup will close today, Friday, 5/24/24, at 10:00 am.
Please share this information to as many people as you can so every child that needs or wants a meal box can get one. We will distribute boxes every Tuesday, 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Rene Rost Middle School would like to welcome Christophe Pirson. Mr. Pirson will be our new French teacher. He is from Liège, southern Belgium. He has been a French teacher for 13 years. Mr. Pirson is the proud father of two little girls. He plays basketball, listens to music and watches movies in his free time. He said "I can't wait to teach you my mother tongue and I'm sure we will have fun discovering this beautiful language."

Happy Friday Pirates! Today as our some of our Rene Rost Alumni graduate, we wish them congratulations and best of luck as the move on to their next chapter of life! Today the Pirate Peer Tutors have a field trip.
Saturday at 10 am and Sunday at 3 pm are your chances to come see the Rene Rost Theatre Troupe's production of Disney's Descendants the Musical. Entry is $10 and don't forget to bring a little extra for concessions to help support the Junior Gold Dance Team!

No coach buses are available at all next week. To keep students safe and out of horrible weather conditions tomorrow, we are moving schlitterbahn trip to Sunday May 19th. Report time is 6:15am.
Any students who cannot attend schlitterbahn due to sports, theater play, or any other reason can write a parent note tomorrow to Ms. Holmes. Students who are in the school play, must perform in school play.
I will need a headcount tomorrow of who is coming on Sunday. Students not coming, their schlitterbahn ticket is good for the entire season and can go at their convenience. If you cannot make it, send Ms. Holmes a note or email
