Eaton Park Elementary Thankful for Families Leadership & Literacy Night is tomorrow, Thursday, November 17th from 5-6pm in the GYM.


This week Mrs. Ashley Johnston's class tasted apples, discussed the seeds and life cycle of plants and dressed as Johnny Appleseed for Knowledge.




Mrs. Jamie’s 2nd graders earned a slime party for their attendance award!

Students may wear jeans for $1.00 and have the option to wear a shirt of choice for an additional $1.00 for a total of $2.00.


Vermilion Parish School System will be closed on Monday, November 7th and Tuesday, November 8th for Fall Break and Election Day.

The class who collects the most food items will win a 🍕 pizza party!


Mrs. Emily’s PreK class earned a popsicle party from Mrs. Tammy in art for following expectations and positive behavior!

On Friday, Mrs Jamie’s class won their art reward and they all got their face painted!

Mrs. Lindsay’s Kindergarten visited the garden on Friday to learn more about plants as they started their lessons on plants last week.

As a reminder so that necessary arrangements can be made, Vermilion Parish School System will be closed on Monday, November 7th and Tuesday, November 8th for Fall Break and Election Day.
In addition, the Thanksgiving Break is just around the corner. Schools and central office will be closed on November 21st through November 25th.

After investigating pumpkins this week, Mrs. Hailey’s Pre-k class did a science experiment with their pumpkins. We made predictions, followed the steps, and observed as our pumpkins turned into volcanos. Everyone was amazed! 🎃

Yesterday, Mrs. Emily’s PreK class explored a pumpkin. Looking at its shape, texture, color, and smell. They also cut the pumpkin to see what it looks like on the inside and removed the seeds to see what it felt like!
