The VPSS Insurance & Benefits Department extends a warm welcome to the active and retired employees of the District. Our department administers insurance benefits for employees, retirees and eligible dependents of the Vermilion Parish School System. The Insurance Department is located at the District Office. Our address is 220 S. Jefferson St Abbeville, Louisiana 70510. Our office hours are from 7:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday.

The Vermilion Parish School System offers a comprehensive benefits program for all active, appointed employees. Employees may enroll in various benefit plans to include health and voluntary benefits during their first (30) calendar days of employment. Elected benefits deduct monthly from the employee’s payroll.
